Minutes of the Board of Directors Meeting

Call to Order:

                President, Tom Henson called the meeting to order at 7:33 pm.  A quorum was present. 

Board of  Directors Addition:

                The Board of Directors elected Jack Nommensen to the Board of Directors. 

Minutes:

                Amy Pulliam read the March 13, 2003 meeting minutes.  The minutes were approved.  

Treasury Report:

Will Jones read the April treasurer’s report.   Beginning balance was $38,957.20. Total income was $3,732.95.  Total expenses were $1,506.28.  Net income $2,226.67. Ending balance $41,183.87.  The treasurer’s report was approved.

Architectural Committee:

No report was given.

Security Report:

A security report was given and is attached. 

OLD BUSINESS:

Landscape Committee:

Bob Teasley reported that a final decision on the mowing was made and the contract went to Greenskeeper’s Landscapes.  Mr. Teasley will also inquire with Greenskeeper’s Landscape to bid on the mowing area along Memorial Drive between E 87th Street and E 87th Court.  Depending on the bid, we may try to have that area mowed several times over the summer.  In addition, Mr. Henson and Mr. Teasley have discovered how much more economical it has been for CHEHA to replace the entrance lights around the neighborhood.  In the past we have hired a professional firm to handle the replacement bulbs which was costly.

Also,  Mr. Teasley is in the process of having River Oaks Landscaping and Eagan Irrigation repair the intersection of 87th Street and Memorial Drive which was damaged when S&S Underground uncovered a telephone cable for Valor Telecom Company.  A letter was submitted to Valor explaining the estimate.     

Chimney Hills Directory:

The directories are ready and are being delivered by Molly Teasley.

NEW BUSINESS:

 Garage Sale:

The board approved another $100 budget for the June 21, 2003 neighborhood Garage Sale so that Lise Dill can have banners made.

Website Change:

 David Hynes is in the process of changing our website host from Yahoo to Hostek. 

                By making this change, David is able to save CHEHA a sizeable amount of money.   

                Our website address will not change.  

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 pm.
